Avocado and Cilantro Salad with Homemade French Dressing

Avocado and Cilantro Salad with Homemade French Dressing

I love the pairing of avocado and cilantro with french dressing. For this salad, I use the customary salad ingredients lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions but then add avocado and cilantro. What brings it all together is the homemade French Dressing. It’s sooo good. Just the right amount of sweet, tang and spice. Avocado and Cilantro Salad with Homemade French Dressing is a great combo…a trifecta of sorts!

Notes

This salad is open to all kinds of modifications.  Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, nuts and/or cheese.
If making the salad ahead of time, put the avocado in the bowl first to help prevent it from discoloring too quickly. Then add the rest of the salad ingredients except the tomatoes.  Always add tomatoes right before ready to serve the salad to avoid a soggy salad.
Don’t refrigerate tomatoes (unless you’ve cut a few slices from a big one but still have some tomato left.  In that case, cover it with plastic wrap and put in the fridge).  Keep tomatoes on your countertop.
I used my Homemade French Dressing for this salad but feel free to use your favorite dressing.
Nature’s Promise Organic Gluten Free Crispy Fried Onions would be the perfect topping to complete this salad.
