Grilled Turkey Burgers with Sriracha Mayo
Many turkey burgers are dry and tasteless, but not these babies! Here are a few tips for making the best Grilled Turkey Burgers with Sriracha Mayo. First and foremost, use ground dark meat turkey. Next, add olive oil and cumin seeds (along with other seasonings) to the burgers. Finally, top with Sriracha Mayo and either serve on a toasted gluten free bun or eat them naked.

Add ground turkey, onion, garlic, olive oil, cumin seed, kosher salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne into a bowl and using your hands, mix until combined. Do not over mix.
Divide mixture into four equal parts and using your hands form patties. Make them as thin as you can because they will plump-up when cooking on the grill. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to grill.
Pre-heat the grill to medium-high. Once grill is pre-heated, spray with oil. Place burgers on the grill and cover. Cook for approximately 5-6 minutes or until bottom side is browned and then flip the burgers and cook for additional 3-5 minutes; 8-11 minutes total.
Sriracha Mayo
For the Sriracha Mayo, mix the mayo with the sriracha and add a squeeze of lemon.
Sauteed Onions
For Sautéed Onions, add olive oil to a small pan and heat on medium-high. Once heated, add the onions. Cook onions for approximately 10 minutes mixing occasionally, until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Transfer sautéed onions to a bowl or place them directly on the burgers as I have done in the photo below.
Grilled Turkey Burgers with Sriracha Mayo
If you want to add cheese to your burgers, do it once they are almost finished cooking. Place turkey burgers on a platter and serve with the sautéed onions and sriracha mayo, if desired. Or place burgers on a grilled gluten free bun and add your favorite toppings. Some suggestions are mentioned in the Notes section in the recipe below.
