Goldie’s Amazing Tahini Shakes

Goldie’s Amazing Tahini Shakes

Let’s shake it up! Milkshakes are great but Goldie’s Amazing Tahini Shakes are even better! A gigantic thanks to Goldie’s Falafel in Philadelphia (same owners as Zahav, Dizengoff, and Federal Donuts fame) for creating these taste bombs. The flavor is out-of-this-world and so is the luxurious thickness. It’s hard to believe these babies are gluten free, dairy free, and vegan.

Tahini Shake Ingredients

Organize all of the tahini shake ingredients – tahini, almond milk, sugar, and salt. Have three standard-size ice cube trays ready to go.

Mix Ingredients in the Blender

Combine the tahini, sugar, kosher salt, and 3 cups almond milk in a blender. Process until smooth.

Freeze Tahini Mixture in Ice Cube Trays

Pour mixture into the ice cube trays and freeze overnight or longer. Once cubes are frozen, pop them from the trays. (If not making the shakes immediately, place the cubes in a freezer bag and freeze until ready to use.)

Final Step for the Tahini Shakes

When ready to make the shakes, place the cubes into the blender. Pour in more almond milk to get the blender started (I needed to add 3/4 of a cup additional almond milk. You may need more or less.) Blend until the ice cubes are completely broken down and the mixture thickens and is thoroughly combined.

Notes

*I bought the Soom Foods tahini at Whole Foods. If you can’t find the Soom Foods brand of tahini in your local store, you can order it online or substitute another brand of tahini … but the Soom Foods tahini is amazing.
For add-on toppings, consider gf oreos as I did or crushed gf oreos, shaved chocolate, crushed halva, chocolate or caramel syrup, etc

  • Hi Michelle,
Thanks for sharing the Tahini shake recipe. I just made it, and it’s a really nice non dairy alternative to a milk shake, although I think I need a stronger blender. I bought the vanilla unsweetened almond milk, but ran out when it came to adding more when blending, so I used some chocolate unsweetened almond milk and got a great tasting shake!
