Gluten Free Teriyaki Skirt Steak
Once my family discovered the Soy Vay brand of teriyaki sauce, it became a staple in our house. And lucky for us, Soy Vay developed a gluten free version of their Teriyaki sauce. Whether we are making skirt steak, chicken or salmon, we use this bottled sauce with stellar results. Teriyaki doesn’t get easier than this. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked for my teriyaki “recipe.” So funny! Here’s my secret family recipe for the best Gluten Free Teriyaki Skirt Steak. Shh…no one needs to know it’s as easy as opening a bottle.

Skirt Steak Marinade Preparation
Place skirt steak in a large pan or dish.
Pour teriyaki marinade over skirt steak. Use enough marinade to make sure both sides of the skirt steak are thoroughly covered. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to a couple of hours. When ready to cook, transfer skirt steak to a broiler pan lined with foil or parchment paper for easier clean up.
Broiling the Skirt Steak
Broil skirt steak on the top rack of the oven on High Broil. Make sure steak is not touching the broiler coils. Cook for a total of 10-12 minutes; 7-8 minutes on one side and then turn the steaks over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium rare. Cook steaks with the door ajar.
Gluten Free Teriyaki Skirt Steak
Let skirt steak rest for 5-10 minutes. Then slice, place on a platter or individual plates, spoon on more marinade sauce (if desired) and garnish with sesame seeds and/or sliced scallions. Teriyaki Skirt Steak in photo above is served with GFchow’s Honey Glazed Sweet Potato Wedges and Michelle’s House Salad.
