Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki gluten free
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil divided between 2 salmon fillets
  • Kosher Salt and Pepper to season salmon
  • 2 Salmon Fillets approximately 6 oz portions
  • Sesame Seeds for garnish (if desired)

Instructions

  • Pour 1/3 of a cup of teriyaki sauce into a shallow bowl. Set aside.
  • Pre-heat broiler to high.
  • Place salmon fillets on an oven-to-table tray or platter (or use a foil or parchment-lined tray).
  • Brush fillets with olive oil and then season with salt and pepper.
  • Once broiler is preheated, place salmon on the top rack closest to the broiler coils. If salmon is touching the broiler coils, move rack down one notch. Keep oven door open slightly when broiling.
  • Once salmon begins to brown on top (approx. 7-8 minutes), brush on first coating of teriyaki sauce. Let it cook on for approximately 30-45 seconds and then apply a second coating of the teriyaki sauce and cook for an additional 30-45 seconds. The sauce should be carmelized and browned in spots.
  • Broil salmon for 8-10 minutes total.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds (if desired) and serve.

Notes

Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki is delicious on other proteins-chicken, steak, shrimp, and/or tofu.
I love the Soy Vay brand and am so happy they finally made a gluten free version of their most popular sauce…Veri Veri Teriyaki.
I bought the gluten free Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki at Whole Foods. It's also available online and at other high-end markets.
Use the original version of Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki., if you don’t follow a gluten free diet.
For garnish consider using sliced scallions, chopped cilantro, and/or parsley.
