Ingredients

  • Large Eggs

Instructions

  • Gently put eggs in a single layer in a pot of cold tap water, enough to cover the eggs.
  • Bring to a boil and then turn down flame to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 12 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the burner and let sit for at least five minutes.
  • Then place eggs in an ice water bath for 3 or so minutes, until eggs are cool enough to peel. By placing them in an ice water bath the eggs become super-easy to peel.
  • Peel eggs or store them in the refrigerator until ready to peel.

Notes

Brown or white large eggs can be used.
Sometimes eggs can be difficult to peel. The fresher the egg, the harder it is to peel.
Eat as part of a healthy breakfast, snack or make into deviled eggs or egg salad.
