Instructions
In a medium-size bowl stir all marinade ingredients together.
Place filet steaks into a bowl and coat with marinade, making sure all sides of steaks are coated.
Then cover with plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature for one hour.
Preheat grill on medium-high. Once heated coat grill with non-stick spray.
Place filets on the grill and cover. Grilling time will depend greatly on the thickness of your filets. Approximately 10 minutes on the initial side and another 8 minutes on the other side for medium rare. If using a thermometer, the internal temperature of the meat should be 130-135°.
While steaks are cooking, transfer leftover marinade into a small sauce pan and heat on medium-low to convert marinade into sauce.
Place filets on a platter and spoon over sauce.
Garnish with lemon slices and sliced chives/scallions, if desired.
