Balsamic glazeblaze or syrup, all of these names are the same product
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Kosher salta healthy pinch
Cracked black peppera few grinds
Leavesfrom fresh herbs such as basilcilantro, or tarragon, optional
Instructions
Arrange mango slices on the outside perimeter of a platter.
Next add avocado slices below and slightly overlapping the mango.
Then, in the center, layer in the sliced figs in the middle.
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the fruit. Season with kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Top with fried shallots and almonds for some crunch.
Finish with some fresh herbs, if desired, and serve!
Notes
Thinly sliced peaches could be substituted for the mango, if you're not a mango fan.For variety, other nuts can be used such as pine nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts and/or hazelnuts. If using the Trader Joe's Fried Shallots, the bag does not state the product is Gluten Free but these did not hurt my stomach. As an alternative, here is the GFchow recipe for homemade crispy shallots.
